Michael Connaughton

CEO
Michael Connaughton serves Paladin as its President and CEO, leading the organization's staff to advance its mission to champion the rights of policyholders by maximizing and expediting financial recovery from insurance losses while adhering to the highest ethical standards. He has worked as a general adjuster for many of the nation’s largest insurance carriers including Farmers Insurance, Allstate, Metropolitan, Nationwide, Travelers, CNA, Firemen’s Fund, and Bankers specializing in large loss residential and commercial insurance claims. Earlier in his career, he served as founder and president of Apex Restoration, Inc. a construction firm which specialized in fire and water damage insurance losses. With over three decades of insurance industry expertise in combination with his general contractor background, he has a uniquely in-depth understanding of the complexities of the claims process.

George John

Director Construction Consulting
George John has worked in the construction industry since 1975 and insurance related construction since 1989. He has worked as an expert witness in construction defect cases, large loss estimator for three different construction companies, as well as catastrophe work after hurricanes.
His expertise is in residential and commercial rebuild after catastrophic insurance losses. He has written estimates in Northern California as well as disaster areas throughout the United States. His extensive background in construction gives him the expertise to create thorough and accurate estimates.
His passion is to help everyone resolve their insurance claim quickly and easily so they can go on with their lives. He spends as much time outdoors as possible. If he is not inspecting a house or business, he is fishing in Minnesota or Northern California.

Over 40 years experience in the construction industry makes him uniquely qualified to write insurance repair estimates for all residential and commercial insurance losses’
Worked with the City of Sacramento to establish an efficient and effective construction emergency response vehicle to handle any and all disasters 24/7

Maureen Sullivan

General Counsel / Senior Attorney - Legal Department
Maureen Sullivan is General Counsel and the senior attorney of Paladin Consulting's legal department. Maureen came to Paladin with a background in health care, health insurance and long term care insurance. She was able to transform her background in health care insurance law to the issues confronting consumers with respect to obtaining benefits from insurance companies when a property loss was experienced. She brings years of high quality legal experience and knowledge and works with a number of other outside lawyers and other non-lawyer personnel providing legal advice and counsel. Her emphasis has been on advocating on behalf of the consumer to insure that consumers obtain the care and payment that they deserve. Within the full scope of her work with Paladin, Ms. Sullivan puts the consumer first, in keeping with the values and mission of Paladin Consulting.
Prior to serving as Counsel for Paladin Consulting, Ms. Sullivan served in the Clinton Administration working for health reform, and served as legislative policy counsel for nonprofit nursing homes and services, with emphasis on Medicare, Medicaid and long term care insurance.
Upon returning to California, Ms. Sullivan served as legal counsel and vice president for the California Hospital Association, chief of policy and regulations for the Department of Public Health, CEO for the Local Health Plans of California, and as consumer counsel for the Department of Managed Health Care.
